grand canyon to utah
Pass through one of Colrado’s least visited, wildest areas on the Kaibab Plateau, north of the Grand Canyon on oustanding singletrack. You’re unlikely to meet many other folk as you enjoy amazing views, beautiful forests and pristine meadows.
With two days of roling uplands, and then two days of predominently downhill trail his is a great adventure for beginner and intermediate riders.
Is this trip suitable for me? This journey can be enjoyed by most bikers. Thought it sarts high at just over 9,000 feet, most travel is gently undulating terrain, or easy downhill. Technically, the riding is easy. Since the trip is fuly serviced, but unguided, you should be comfortable in the backcountry without a guide.
Duration: This is a 4 day ride with arrival, plus prep and travel days.

sample itinerary
Your trip is fully customisable to suit your preferred length of stay
Day one: Meet in Flagstaff, AZ. Meet your driver/ host, go shopping, and fill your cooler full of food (and maybe a beer or two!)
Day two: Before you start the day’s ride, go peer into Bright Angel Canyon: the first of several unforgettable views you’ll experience over the next few days. The ride starts with a 1000 foot climb over ten miles, topping out over 9,000 feet. Not easy, but take your tie, enjoy the views. Know you will get there!
Day three: Today’s ride is one of the greatest days, anywhere. Mostly easy riding on soft trails, you’ll encounter occasional challenges as you pass through sub alpine forest.Get ready for the East Rim view. Get off your bike and stop and stare: Saddle Mountain Wilderness, Marble Canyon, Vermillion Cliffs and more fill your field of vision. Right now, you’re the luckiest person on the planet. Continue on through meadows and forest, climbing and descending through small canyons to your camp.
Day four: Time to begin the long descent towards Utah. A great day of easy riding, with chance to see some of the local wildlife. A brief pass through civilisation allows for the chance to buy a fresh cookie before you continue on to your camp.
Day five: It just gets better and better. Almost all down hill, this 28 mile day will be over only too soon. Descending from 7,500 to 5,000 feet you’ll leave the forest and enter sagebrush country, and yet more fantastic views, this time of Coyote Buttes, Buckskin Gulch and the sandstone domes of southern Utah, finally rolling over the Arizon/ Utah stateline and the end of your journey.
